Signed.. A VERY FUCKING ANGRY BLACK WOMAN

You guys had to know it was coming. Yep, it’s only right., my reaction to the student tossed from her seat in class by a wrestl, HULK.. I mean “police officer”. My exact emotion when I found out is the same one as I type this post right now.. RAGE … absolute fucking RAGE!!

You know living in this day and age of technology, we often scrutinize people who pull out their phones the first chance they get when something is going down. But honestly, where would we be without them? Honestly, think about it! Who knows the ugly truths of things that have taken place, but haven’t been recorded? Who knows the countless amount of times a police officer has gotten away with dare I say it MURDER… But you know without visible proof, it’s kinda like it didn’t happen. God bless the child brave enough to record this ordeal, but Lord I pray for their family, I pray for their safety. Because something like this getting public attention is sure to deliver some consequences. SMH. I won’t be surprised if they do an investigation on her family or try to dig up some dirt about her.

As these things continue to happen, I will continue to be outraged, I refuse for this to become my norm. I will never grow numb to these occurrences.

A little girl who was tossed and flung from her seats whilst her classmates and teacher acted like that shit was completely normal has me flabbergasted. Students were afraid to look up, even more afraid to flinch. They’ve been trained to feel that this type of force is ok, trained to accept these type of treatments and poor behavior. They won’t dare to react because they don’t feel safe, they are completely unaware of the consequence for doing what is right.

Black girl, I mourn with and for you, once again America has failed you and proceeded to treat you like the slave they think you are. Once again, another little black girl’s innocence is snatched from her as she is treated like a fucking rag doll. Once again, we have another little black girl walking around unsure of her worth and what her true value is. Once again, we have shown this little black girl that even as she is abused, she has no protector. We have failed her. Once again, we have a little black girl who will grow up and be labeled as an “Angry Black Woman” by her privileged white coworkers whose idea of struggle is figuring out which cuff links to pair with their suit for the day.

Growing up black is far from easy, growing up black and being a woman is more than just challenging. It’s you going to work not allowed to have a bad day, because if you so much as blink wrong, you’re told to smile. You’re told to smile because you look upset or everything but happy if you’re not smiling.

So the next time you tell a black woman to smile, take a fuckin second to think that maybe, just maybe mentally she’s exhausted of turning on the news and seeing yet another black little girl in a defenseless brawl with someone who took a vow to serve and protect the community.

Angrily Stripped,

D. Wil
