Queen. Daughter. Writer. Friend. Brooklyn-bred. D. Wil is an honest, outspoken, funny, adventurous, spontaneous, heart on the sleeve wearing, professional dreamer who was not always comfortable with who she was. A firm believer in being honest with yourself and never allowing someone else’s thoughts about you to alter your spirit. She believes in fairy tales, trusting your instincts, speaking on the phone for hours, loving hard, & forgiveness. Truly a rebel at heart that has learned to see the beauty in all things. She loves LOVE and believes it is the healer of all things. Everyday she is learning more and more about herself. Writing is her getaway, and she is excited to share her thoughts with you humans.
Yoga Enthusiast, Blogger and Masters of Social Work student, Jessica-Nefertiti is the Founder of QueenThings and creator of the #QUEENDOMPROJECT. She is passionate about providing young women with the tools needed to be successful in both their personal and professional lives. As a Brooklyn native, she enjoys being transparent, in hopes that her vulnerability will empower a young Queen to exude self-love and self acceptance while living in her truth, as she is along her road to self discovery. Fascinated by the complexities of the African American experience, Jessica-Nefertiti hopes to become an advocate for underrepresented women. She incorporates mindfulness techniques in her daily living and holds an immense love for West Indian cuisine.
